Michigan Seal of Biliteracy

At Ypsilanti Community Schools, we are committed to empowering our students with skills that open doors to future opportunities. The Michigan Seal of Biliteracy is a prestigious award granted by the Michigan Department of Education to students who demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one other language. This award not only celebrates multilingualism but also makes students stand out on job applications, college applications and wherever else their path leads.

Through our  language programs as well as our incredibly diverse population, we equip students with the tools to become confident, bilingual communicators prepared for success in an increasingly interconnected world.  Earning the Seal of Biliteracy can be life-changing!
