Immunization Requirements
YCS abides by the State of Michigan vaccine laws. Any child enrolling in Kindergarten, 7th grade, or newly enrolled in the district in any grade must provide proof of immunizations or waiver.

Appointments can be made at the University of Michigan’s Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools (RAHS). At these school-based health centers, immunizations can be provided regardless of insurance status. Call to make an appointment. For more information visit the RAHS website.

Waiver Information
Any parent or guardian that opts out of vaccinating their child with immunizations required for school attendance is required to obtain an immunization waiver from the Health Department. Due to limited appointments, it is advised to call the Washtenaw County Health Department early at 734-544-6700 to make your waiver appointment.
